One of our most popular instruments that we teach at the Asheville Music School is guitar.  We offer lessons in electric guitar, acoustic guitar and Classical guitar. We also offer lessons in dobro and pedal/lap steel guitar with Matthew Smith (see West Offerings).  Whether you are someone who wants to just curl up with your guitar and pick out a few tunes for yourself, perform at one of Asheville’s many open mic nights, or learn to jam better with your friends, we can help. 

Our seven guitar instructors have a great diversity of experiences between them.  Jazz, rock, pop, folk, metal, bluegrass-you name it, our teachers have knowledge in lots of styles.  We offer lessons for five year olds on up and teach lessons for those who are beginners, intermediates and advanced.
